Did you know?
The Arabian Jasmine was given the Hawaiian Name "Pikake" in honor of Queen Ka'iulani, who was very fond of the Peacock, or "Pikake," as well as this beautifully-scented flower.
Pikake Hawaii Bath Salt Key Ingredients:
Epsom Salts: Traditionally used to prepare foot baths, intended to soothe sore feet. The reason for the inclusion of epsom salts to baths is partially cosmetic. Epsom salts prevent some of the temporary skin wrinkling ("pruning") which is caused by prolonged immersion of extremities in pure water. However, magnesium sulfate (or epsom salts) can also be absorbed into the skin, reducing inflammation. When used through soaking, these salts absorb through skin and soothe muscle pains while helping to improve rough patches in the skin.
Hawaiian Sea Salt: This natural exfoliant removes dead skin cells and relieves muscular tension.
Baking Soda: Baking Soda is the common name for sodium bicarbonate. It is excellent for relieving minor skin irritations. When added to water, it is also recommended for the treatment of insect bites and stings, prickly heat rash, poison ivy, poison oak, and poison sumac. We use baking soda in our salts as a buffering agent and to adjust the pH of the skin; which softens skin.
All Ingredients: Hawaiian Sea Salt, Epsom salt, Baking soda, Hawaiian Bath & Body Pikake Pure Essential oil & fragrance blend.
Instructions: Pour a heaping portion into running bath water to soothe tired and sore muscles. The amount you use is determined by the level of scent you want. We recommend at least 1/4 cup. May sting cuts or abrasions.
Tip Zone:
-Use to soak away sore and tired muscles.
-Use to help soften and relieve itchy skin.
-Can be used in combination with our Kukui Nut oil or Body oil to create a heavy-duty foot salt scrub. Add 1 part Kukui Nut oil to 2 parts soaking salts and mix in a bowl. Scrub away dead skin build up on feet.
